Early Mothers Day!

This is my early present from Ty since we will be gone next week. He totally surprised me, I had no idea he was even thinking about painting this for me! I am married to such an amazing man who works hard to make sure he is being the very best husband and father for us. He has exceeded all of my expectations for what a husband and a father is supposed to be like. I am so grateful that we got married those many (almost 10!) years ago and that he has made us stick it out. I believe in soul mates and I know that I have found mine to share this journey with.

I feel so blessed to have two intelligent, compassionate, and funny kids. Life never gets dull with these two around. Every now and then they take my breath away with the incredibly sweet and profound things that they say and do. I love this painting because it captures so nicely one of those moments.

Yogurt!

On our bike ride tonight we stopped by a new yogurt place, Tummi Yummi's.
We are big fans of Spoon Me, but this was something different to try and it was super yummy!

Aren't these muppets/puppets the coolest ever? The kids custom designed these online and they came exactly the way they ordered them. What a fun surprise!!!

He has had tons of fun karate chopping everyone and everything he comes in contact with. These are so cool, I would have loved to have one as a kid. I want one even now!

Little Ladies

She needed new dress shoes, so we went to go check them out and this is what we came home with. These were THE shoes- you know, the ones you are just dying to have. I kept showing her other shoes without heels, mind you, but these had to be it. My baby girl is in heels?

They had such cute ideas at their Luncheon today, fun decorations and activities and this cute tiara. The little ladies definitely had a great time and came home feeling special.

Could they be any cuter? I'm not sure that I am looking forward to the teenage years, but I feel like I am getting a glimpse of the positive side of having a pre-teen daughter.

Boys Will Be Boys

I wanted to get some practice with our new camera and I found some willing participants. (Original shots set up by these 2 dudes pictured here.)

These boys have so much fun together and they say the funniest things! One little dude will get on a roll of making the other laugh and I find myself giggling right along with them. I am so grateful for good friends for my kids.
I remember playing with friends that I have pictures with. I wonder where they will be in life when they are looking back and remembering this.

Spring Break 2010 - Part II

The kids are so excited to be out of school for spring break. We got a good start to the holiday with a fantastic Easter with family, a sleep over with their cousin last night, and lots of fun time at the Fun Park today.

Thanks to our friends for helping us out this week, the kids are super excited to have a couple of play dates with their good friends and we appreciate the help.

Spring Break 2010

Spring break this year was so much fun!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Hite!

Off to California for a week we go.

First thing we did at Disneyland was Splash Mountain. I didn't ride this one last time we went and I am now proud to say it is one of my favorites.

I made everyone see the Captain EO show starring Michael Jackson, paybacks for all the rides they made me go on.

Then we found a whole store devoted to nothing but LEGO's and Royce was in pure heaven. It is all he talked about for the rest of the trip.

We had to do the teacup ride, and of course I had to get sick. Darn that Walt.

Waiting in line. The lines weren't too bad, but if we go again we will try to go earlier.

The kids first time on the beach (that they'll remember anyway) and they are hooked. Uncle Nick was going to teach them how to surf, but we ran out of time. Next time we'll have to give it a go.

Loved boogie boarding, took to it right away.

Even with the wet suits they got cold after a bit, but still weren't ready to go.

Syd was momentarily grumpy because I was taking too many pics, and I thought it was so funny that I had to get one with her grumpy self.

Royce had fun taking pics (many, many of them) and this is a great one of the killer whales.

We met up with Ty's family and had a yummy dinner after which we went back to their historical house for a tour.

On the pier eating our super cheap and good frozen yogurt with Uncle Nick. Thanks for such an amazing time and for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

One last look before it was time to go. Goodbye Cali, we hope to see you again soon.

FREE TRIP!

We are going to go free Willy next week!
Or perhaps we will stay away from all the "Shamu's" around? I think we will just have to be content with this amazing Michael Jackson video!
Don't pretend that you weren't just dying to have an excuse to watch it again. =)
And we are super excited for our free day at Disneyland. Lots of "free" in the works here. We are excited to see friends and family in Cali.
