Massachusetts 2012

Over spring break we took the kids out to Massachusetts to help us check it out and see different areas we are looking to live in.  They spent a lot of time in the car and they were so good (although they didn't always look happy like they do here).  It was a very productive trip and I am so glad we were able to bring the kids along.  It is a done deal now, so Worcester (or surrounding cute small towns), here we come!

We found this neat park to take a break and let the kids play and they had this cute carriage to play on.

They had fun trying to make Tyler dizzy.

We issued a challenge to see who could hold the top of a push up position the longest.  They both held out for quite some time, both giving each other a hard time and trying to make the other one quit.  The situation was intense and full of laughter and trickery.  Sydney won, but just by a hair and each got a milkshake for their hard work and clever thinking.

We were lucky enough to get to stay with Aunt Joan and Uncle John in Cape Cod.  First thing we did was take a walk down their street a couple of houses to the beach.

The kids loved collecting many special treasures and I was the lucky one who got to lug them all home.

Swinging on the swing before dinner.

Syd's first lobster!  She wasn't so sure about the taste but she tried a good portion of it and is ready to do it again.  I'm sure she will have many opportunities after we move.

Royce was a little put off by the eyeballs, he kept wondering if they were looking at him and if he had to eat them.  The next day we were eating our lunches at the airport that Uncle John & Aunt Joan thankfully made for us in a pinch and I looked down and he had eaten most of my lobster sandwich while I wasn't looking.

Dinner with the girls...  I love these ladies, they keep me motivated and working hard at Crossfit!

Hanging out with their best friend & cousin.  They jumped for hours and hours, ate dinner, jumped some more, slept, jumped some more, ate breakfast and finally jumped some more before it was time to go!

Hanging out by the fire pit with Grandma Lucie, Cindy, and Uncle Glenn.  It was a perfect night for a fire & we has so much fun staying up late and chatting away.

Just Hanging Out with Friends & Family

We love it when Kevin & Michelle come over and play games, we are such a nerdy game family and love having such great friends.

Finally it snowed enough for the kids to go sledding!

Playing chess with Grandpa but the LEGO substitutions can be confusing!

Ty and I went on a random walk by the river and the scenery was calm and peaceful, absolutely perfect!

Syd & Grandma before the ballet in their Norwegian prints!

Monster Concert 2012

Monster Concert this year was so much fun.  Royce played Copycat and Sydney played Sneaky Fox Boogie and Balloon Pop Polka during the concert.  We have super families and friends who are like family and it was great to all support the kids together.

Grandpa got a hotel room for 2 nights and the kids swam as much as they possibly could over the weekend and during the Super Bowl. Our weekend was one big party, thanks Grandpa!

December 2011

For Syd's 11th birthday we threw her a surprise party.
We rented a pool side room at a hotel and invited a few friends to come swimming with us.

They had so much fun and are such a good group of kids, so polite and well mannered - I was totally impressed.

Are these guys really old enough to be doing this?  Happy Birthday, Sydney!  You are such a smart and caring young lady and we are so proud of you!

Royce and Tyler had a LEGO day and spent all day sorting the LEGOs and then building new creations together.

We got to spend time with cousins over the holiday break.

The ladies always have a great time together.

Royce couldn't sleep because he was so excited...

and neither could Sydney so they stayed up way too late.

We had an amazing Christmas this year.  It was great to get to be the host for a change and I enjoyed every moment of having such great company!  We are so blessed with the family and friends that we have and hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season as well.

Sydney's Recital & Tyler's Birthday

Syd played 2 songs tonight at her Christmas piano recital and she did fantastic.  She has a great teacher and has really enjoyed learning fun new songs so she can teach them to her little bro.

For Ty's birthday he wanted to go and get a Christmas tree, so off we went to get a real tree...

Some of us decorated till it was completed...

Others took a very long break...

And Tyler did the rest.
Happy Birthday to an exceptional husband and father, and a very talented artist.
Hope you had a great weekend, we love you!
